{{/presale}}It took alliances for the good that exists in this world to defeat the dark cloud of Nazism in Europe and colonial exploitation in the Pacific. While the United States partnered with the United Kingdom, France, and the Soviet Union to defeat Nazi Germany in Europe, the US leaned heavily on its alliance with Australia in the Pacific Theater to counter Japanese expansionism and aggression. Provident Metals offers the US-Australian World War II 1/2 oz Silver Coin for purchase online to commemorate the success of that alliance.
Highlights:
Your purchase of the US-Australian World War II 1/2 oz Silver Coin delivers a coin that is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition from the Perth Mint. The coins are available for purchase individually inside of protective plastic flips or in multiples of 25 coins with mint tubes.
Obverse
On the obverse of the US-Australian World War II 1/2 oz Silver Coin is a vision of Queen Elizabeth II. Here, a right-profile portrait of the Queen shows her wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. This image was created in 1998 by Ian-Rank Broadley for the Royal Mint of England as the fourth-generation British currency design. It first appeared on Australian coins in 1999 as the fifth iteration of her effigy for that nations coinage.
Reverse
The reverse face of US-Australian World War II 1/2 oz Silver Coins includes a design celebrating each nation in the American-Australian alliance. The Australian-American Memorial is located in the federal capital city of Australia, Canberra. This towering monument has a sphere at the top with a powerful eagle perched at the top. The background field features the Australian flag with the Southern Cross constellation emblazoned on the left, while the Stars and Stripes of the American flag are featured on the right.
History
Once the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the United States Military got off the sidelines and into direct action in the conflict in both the European and Pacific Theaters of World War II. The United States Navy and Marine Corps led the charge in the Pacific Theater teaming up with the Royal Australian Navy to meet the Imperial Japanese Navy in one pitched battle after another to push the Japanese from their furthest reaches back to the home islands.
