Provident Metals offers the Silver Revolution Series 4-Round Set from the Texas Mint with a presentation booklet that holds the four individual 1 oz silver rounds. These rounds are dated to represent significant events from the Texas Revolution. The 2020 round commemorates the Battle of Gonzales, while the 2023 round commemorates the Battle of San Jacinto. The booklet also provides background details on each rounds design.

Obverse

On the obverse side of the Silver Texas Mint Rounds, you’ll find a consistent design element. Each round features a textured silhouette of Texas with a smooth engraving of the Lone Star, representing Texas’ history as an independent country.

Reverse

The reverse side of each 1 oz Silver Revolution Round features unique designs. These rounds were released in the sequence of these historic events: the 2020 Battle of Gonzales, the 2021 Battle of the Alamo, the 2022 Goliad Massacre, and the 2023 Battle of San Jacinto.

History

The Texas Revolution, which took place from 1835 to 1836, was a crucial conflict that led to Texas gaining independence from Mexico. The decisive moment came at the Battle of San Jacinto on April 21, 1836. Led by Sam Houston, Texian forces launched a surprise attack on Santa Anna’s army, catching them off guard during their afternoon siesta. The battle lasted only 18 minutes, resulting in a decisive victory for the Texians and the capture of Santa Anna himself. This victory effectively secured Texas independence.
