Supporting the shield are a heraldic goat on one side and a heraldic lion on the other, forming an elegant national emblem. History

The custom of decorating evergreen trees during the winter months has deep roots that reach back before modern Christmas traditions. In ancient times, Romans, Egyptians, and Celts all used evergreens to symbolize lasting life during the darkest time of the year. The Christmas tree tradition as we know it began in 16th-century Germany and eventually spread across Europe and beyond.
