{{/presale}}The Chinese Mint is best known for its bullion range of Chinese Panda Gold and Silver Coins. However, starting in 2016 the mint began expanding its range of proof coins in the Chinese Panda Series. For the gold coins, this included the introduction of coins well above the 30 Gram weight offered as the largest coin in the bullion series. Proof Chinese Panda Gold Coins are available as large as 150 grams in weight. Right now, you can buy Proof Chinese Panda 150 Gold Coins online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
With your purchase of Proof Chinese Panda 150 Gram Gold Coins in this product listing, Provident Metals has coins available to you with the original Chinese Mint packaging. The coins are individually housed inside of wooden display boxes and come with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Chinese Mint. As proof coins, these specimens all have frosted visuals with mirrored background fields.
Obverse
The Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests is featured on the obverse of all Proof Chinese Panda 150 Gram Gold Coins. The Temple of Heaven Complex was built between 1406 and 1420 and includes within it the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. The hall is the largest structure in the complex and was built as a Taoist worship site. Inscriptions on this side of the coin include the Mandarin language text for Peoples Republic of China and the date mark for the individual coin.
Reverse
Giant Pandas are found on the reverse side of Proof Chinese Panda 150 Gram Gold Coins. The Giant Panda is always the focus of the reverse design element, but the exact manner in which it is depicted changes every year. The Giant Panda is a distinctive species of bear that has patches of black and white fur throughout its body.
History
Though the Chinese Mint has long issued proof versions of its Chinese Panda coins, the introduction of such large Proof Chinese Panda Coins did not come until 2016. The release of these coins was timed to coincide with the transition of the Chinese Panda from Troy ounces to Grams.
