Obverse

Inscriptions here include DOS Y MEDIO PESOS and the year of issue.

Reverse

The reverse side of the coin features Mexico’s official Coat of Arms. This emblem shows a golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus with a serpent in its beak and talons.
