Obverse
The national coat of arms representing the Mexican government is depicted on the obverse of Mexican Libertad 2 oz Silver Coins. This is the modern design of the national seal and depicts a powerful golden eagle on a cactus battling a serpent. Around the outer rim of the design field are 10 historic versions of the national emblem used throughout Mexican history.
Reverse
Winged Victory is shown on the reverse side of Mexican Libertad 2 oz Silver Coins on the top of the Mexican Independence Victory Column. The figure of Winged Victory depicted here is inspired by the statue of Victoria found at the top of the column in Mexico City and has been used on the Mexican Libertad Silver Coins since 1982. The mountains of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl feature in the distant background with inscriptions of the coins weight, purity, and metal content included.
History
Mexican Libertad 2 oz Silver coins were introduced in 1996 and have been available every year since that time. The 1996 and 2009 coins have the highest mintages in the series at 50,000 coins and 46,000 coins respectively. The 2005 coin has the lowest mintage in the series to date with just 3,549 coins.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
