{{/presale}}Few coins are more popular than the Chinese Panda coin from the Chinese Mint. Available in five weights each year, youll find the Chinese Panda Gold Coins available in Grams as of 2016 rather than Troy ounces. This makes the Chinese Panda Coins the first major bullion series to abandon Troy ounces in favor of Grams. Provident Metals currently has Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coin in near-perfect certification available to purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coin through this Provident Metals listing, you receive a coin with a Mint State 69 certification. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster and have no more than two minor detracting flaws present. Acceptable flaws at this grade include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines found outside of the primary focal points of the coins.
It is possible for your Chinese Panda Gold Coins to feature additional labels such as Early Release or First Strike. These indicate a coin that was received within the first 30 days following release by the Chinese Mint.
Obverse
The obverse face of the Chinese Panda Gold Coins includes the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This building is the primary structure in the Temple of Heaven complex that was built between 1406 and 1420. The Temple of Heaven is one of four such Taoist religious sites in Beijing and the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests features each year on the obverse of the gold coin and reverse of the silver coins.
Reverse
On the reverse of Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coins, you will find an image of the Giant Panda. A species of bear native to the central highlands of China, the panda features on the reverse each year with a fresh design element.
History
Chinese Panda Gold Coins debuted in 1982 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz options. In 1983, a 1/20 oz gold coin was added. In 2016, all five weights switched over to Grams with options of 30 Grams, 15 Grams, 8 Grams, 3 Grams, and 1 Gram now available.
