A Mint State 69 coin exhibits full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Obverse
The Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests is depicted on the obverse of the Chinese Panda 1 oz Gold Coin each year. This building is the primary structure inside of the Temple of Heaven Complex that was built between 1406 and 1420. Inscriptions on this face of the coin include the words Peoples Republic of China in Mandarin and a date mark.
Reverse
Giant Pandas are the eponymous symbol of China and serve as an unofficial emblem of the nation. The Giant Panda is depicted on the reverse of the Chinese Panda 1 oz Gold Coin each year. The design is changed each year and only the 2001 and 2002 date marks share the same design. The Giant Panda is found in a new relief each year, with some issues featuring only a single panda while others feature a mother and cub.
History
Chinese Panda 1 oz Gold Coins were offered by the Chinese Mint from 1982 to 2015. The coins originally had a face value of 100 Yuan from 1982 to 2000, with a face value of 500 Yuan from 2001 to 2015.
