{{/presale}}The American Eagle Gold Coin series comes with three distinct options to attract investors and collectors alike. The bullion version is the best-selling coin in the collection, with proof and burnished versions available to collectors in much lower mintage figures. While the BU and proof versions are available in four weights, the Burnished American Eagle Gold Coin is available only in 1 oz gold. Provident Metals now offers a near-perfect Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin for you to purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase the Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin available in this product listing, you are buying a near-perfect gold coin as graded by either the PCGS or NGC. Coins in Mint State 69 condition showcase full, original mint luster with no more than two minor detracting flaws present. Those flaws must be located outside of the primary focal points of the coin and are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines.
Through this Provident Metals listing, it is possible, though not guaranteed, that the coins could come with additional labels. Examples of possible labels include First Strike, Early Release, and First Day of Issue specimens.
Obverse
The obverse side of all Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins includes the image of Lady Liberty. Created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this design was the first in a string of new images for American coins in the early 20th century that transformed the appearance of American denominations. Liberty walks toward the viewer in this design holding a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. Rays of sunshine emanate from behind Liberty and frame her figure as a ring of 50 stars encircles the design element.
Reverse
On the reverse face of Burnished American Eagle Gold Coins, you will find Miley Busieks depiction of a family of American bald eagles. The design depicts a male flying over the nest as a female guards over a young hatchling in the nest.
History
Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins debuted in 2006. Originally available from 2006 to 2008 in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz options, the program was suspended in 2009 and 2010. When it returned in 2011, only the 1 oz gold coin was available.
