{{/presale}}The American Bison is a natural member of the American Wildlife Series. The Bison 1 oz Copper Round consists of .999 Fine Copper and was minted by the LBMA certified Elemetal Mint. The Elemetal Mint uses the production standards and metal purity assays that qualify the rounds it makes for international commercial trading.
The obverse of each Bison 1 oz Copper Round features a portrait of an American Bison. The Devils Tower is visible in the background; two additional bison roam the flat plains. “BISON” is inscribed above.
The Devils Tower, a 5,114-foot rock formation, is located near the Bear Lodge Mountains in northeastern Wyoming. It’s name was misinterpreted by the U.S. Army to mean “Bad God,” the stoic monolith has been know as “Devils Tower” ever since. President Theodore Roosevelt declared the site a United States National Monument on Sept. 24, 1906.
Bison, and a variety of other animals, call the 1,347 acres near Devils Tower home. As one of the largest species, bison can weigh 2,000 pounds, and run between 30-40 miles per hour. These herbivores graze on grass, plants and other shrubbery, and because of their massive size, have a limited number of predators.
The design on the reverse is the same on each round in the American Wildlife Series. It features a bald eagle flying above the United States of America with a banner in its beak that reads “By Thomas D. Rogers, Sr.” The edge of the round is decorated with five-pointed stars.
Each image in the American Wildlife Series was designed by the lauded US Mint sculptor, Thomas Rogers, Sr. Rogers breathed life into each creation, showcasing in remarkable detail the diverse landscapes and wildlife America offers.
The American Wildlife Series may be purchased as individual coins, as a Complete Set, which includes a copper and silver round of each design in a mint tube, or as set of Silver or Copper rounds in a Display Box signed by Tom Rogers. Individual rounds will ship in plastic flips. All rounds will be shipped in New Condition.
American Wildlife Series copper and silver rounds are a beautiful way to increase the intrinsic and numismatic value of your Bullion collection. Each of these rounds consists of .999 fine silver or copper, and was crafted with LBMA standard protocols, which qualifies them for self-directed Precious Metals IRAs. Also, there will only be 10,000 copper and silver rounds minted of each design. Supplies are limited, so act now!
