{{/presale}}The Perth Mint produces some of the most spectacular coins in the world, and the Kookaburra Silver Coins are no exception. The series was originally released in 1990, and in 1990 and 1991, they were only available in 1 oz weights. In 1992, additional weights were added to the series. Included in this addition was the 10 oz coin. Today, you can purchase Australian Kookaburra 10 oz Silver Coins from a random year from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each coin will ship in individual packaging to protect the coins during the shipping process. In this listing, you can receive an Australian Kookaburra 10 oz Silver Coin from any year of production. The exact date that you receive will depend on the availability of the coins in our warehouse at the exact tie your payment is processed. We cannot guarantee that you will receive coins of a specific date.
Obverse
Every coin in this listing will feature the image of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. Her Majesty is always featured in right-profile relief. Due to the dates these coins were produced, they could have one of three different designs of the Queen. The first would be the third-generation design from Raphael Maklouf, which would be on coins up until 1997. Coins that were produced between 1998 and 2018 will feature Ian Rank-Broadleys fourth-generation design. Any coins dated 2019 and onward will bear the image of Jody Clarks fifth-generation depiction.
Reverse
The reverse face of the coins will feature one of the many available Kookaburra designs. Since there is a new design every year, there are a lot of options for obverse designs.
History
These coins are produced by the Perth Mint of Australia, which opened in 1899. This mint is the official bullion mint of Australia, and it is owned by the Government of Western Australia.
