{{/presale}}In a unique new series of gold products for sale, gold notes that were produced with an eye towards acting as legal tender in the state of Utah are now available to any gold buyer in the country. These gold notes range in weight from 1/20 oz at the largest to 1/1000 oz at the smallest, making these items far easier to actually use as local currency in the event gold would be needed for everyday purchases. Provident Metals now has 50 Gold Utah Goldback Notes available to purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 50 Gold Utah Goldback Gold Note through this Provident Metals listing, you will receive your gold notes inside of individual plastic sleeves. Each of the gold notes is acceptable, vendor dependent, in the statue of Utah but is not widely considered legal tender throughout the United States. However, this series does offer something for those who believe an inevitable crash of fiat currencies will occur and who want to have smaller, easily-spent gold at the ready.
Designs
Libertas features on the obverse side of the 50 Gold Utah Goldback Notes in this product listing. She is depicted in a natural setting holding up both hands over her head. In one, she clutches a torch, while in the other she holds a chalice. The figure of Libertas dates back to the Roman Republic and was a figure associated with Liberty in Roman mythology. She inspired the Great Seal of France design from 1848, the female personifications of Columbia and Marianne, and the Statue of Liberty. The reverse of the gold notes is blank save the mirrored appearance of the design from the obverse.
History
The passage of the Utah Legal Tender Act of 2011 paved the way for the concept of new gold notes such as these that were introduced for private issue local bartering in Utah. The notes in this series represent some smallest physical units of tradeable gold one can buy. In total, other notes include the 25 Gold, 10 Gold, 5 Gold, and 1 Gold Utah Goldbacks.
