{{/presale}}Private mints in the United States often replicate the images from historic US coins in producing silver rounds, silver bars, and copper rounds for collectors and investors. Few images are more popular than Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty design from the former US half dollar and current American Eagle Silver bullion series. Today, you have the opportunity to get 5 oz Silver US Eagle Replica Rounds from random years online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Adolph A. Weinman created the Walking Liberty image in 1916 for the US Mint to consider on the coins of the Barber Coinage. That year saw all three Barber Coinage denominations given new designs, with Weinmans Walking Liberty eventually chosen for the half dollar. It was struck on the half dollar for 31 years from 1916 to 1947. As of 1986, it is the face of the American Eagle Silver bullion coin along with John Mercantis design of the heraldic eagle.
Obverse
On the obverse side of each 5 oz Silver US Eagle Replica Round is a depiction of Walking Liberty. The image includes Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon. The word Liberty is inscribed above her head with In God We Trust struck behind her trailing leg and a random date mark below the design.
Reverse
The reverse face of 5 oz Silver US Eagle Replica Rounds includes the exact reverse from the American Eagle Silver coins. The heraldic eagle as designed by John Mercanti is featured on this side with the eagle clutching an olive branch in its right talon and its head looking toward the symbol of peace. The US national shield is on its chest with the arrows of war in its left talon. The banner through its beak reads E Pluribus Unum and 13 stars are arranged in a triangle over its head. Inscriptions include Silver Bullion Round overhead and 5 Troy oz .999 Fine Silver beneath.
