{{/presale}}There are two primary forms of gold bars you can purchase for investment purposes. Minted ingots are popular for the refined design elements available, but do come with higher premiums. Cast bars are traditional in the production approach and the visual elements of the bar, and also come with lower premiums. Youll find cast gold bars available from any mints worldwide. Provident Metals happily offers 250 Gram Gold Cast Bars for you to purchase online.
Highlights:
Your purchase of a 250 Gram Gold Cast Bar from Valcambi Suisse comes with individual protective plastic sleeves to house the bar. Each bar in this particular listing is in brand-new condition and comes with an assay card. The assay offers the matching weight, purity, metal content, and serial number from the bar and also includes the signature of a certified assayer.
Obverse
The obverse side of the 250 Gram Gold Cast Bar features all of the markings you will find on this product. Included in the design elements on this side are the Valcambi Suisse logo and the refinery name. The logo is a square with a throwing star-like figure in the center. Also found on this side of the bar are inscriptions of 250 g Fine Gold 999,9. An assayers stamp is found on this side along with an individual serial number. These particular bars have a two-letter, five-number coding system for serial numbers.
Reverse
On the reverse face of the 250 Gram Gold Cast Bar there are no markings. The vast majority of cast gold bars have blank reverse fields because most cast bars are left to cool in the mold after production. This leaves just one side of the bar exposed for stamping markings and etching serial numbers.
History
Valcambi Suisse was founded in Balerna, Switzerland, in 1961. The refinery was originally known as Valori & Cambi, but came to be known as Valcambi Suisse following a merger with Credit Suisse for a number of decades. Valcambi Suisse cast gold bars such as these 250 Gram Gold Cast Bars have flat surfaces, defined edges, and rounded edges. These are ideal for stacking because of their shape.
