The Austrian 25 Schilling Gold Coin was minted from 1926 to 1938. Schillings were the official currency of Austria in the inter-war periods between the end of World War I. These coins were in circulation as the new republic regained strength following the breakup of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the invasion of Austria during World War II.

Obverse

The obverse of all Austrian 25 Schilling Gold Coins bears the Austrian coat of arms with an eagle. The eagle is in the center of the coat of arms and holds a hammer in one claw to represent the industry of Austria, while the sickle in the other talon represents the countrys agriculture.

Reverse

There were two different issue periods for the Austrian 25 Schilling Gold Coins. The first was from 1926 to 1934, and they featured a simple reverse design with only the face value of the coins on the reverse of the coin. The second release of the coin was from 1935 to the end of the production of the Austrian 25 Schilling Gold Coin featured the image of St. Leopold on the reverse side of the coin.

History

As one of the oldest mints in Europe, it is no surprise that the Austrian Mint has produced some of the most well-known coins in the world. The Austrian Mint was founded by Duke Leopold V in 1194 with 15 tonnes of silver paid to him as ransom by Richard the Lionheart of England.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.

When will my order ship?

Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Can I choose the method of shipping?

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

What about International Orders?

Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
