While not recognized as legal tender, some businesses voluntarily accept them for payment. As of 2025, each note also includes a UV security feature on the reverse.
Design
The front of the 25 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Note features an image of a woman sitting on a classic 1950s car parked on Route 66. Oklahomas connection to this famous road is significantit spans roughly 400 miles across the state. When Route 66 was first created in 1926, Oklahoma became an essential part of its identity as the Mother Road, especially during the economic hardships of the 1930s, a time captured in The Grapes of Wrath.
History
As traffic grew, small Oklahoma towns like Clinton, Elk City, and Catoosa flourished with diners, roadside attractions, and motor inns that welcomed travelers. Though Interstate 40 eventually replaced much of the original route, portions have been preserved and are now popular for nostalgic road trips.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
