She stands wearing the coat of a Revolutionary War soldier as her dress, the stripes of the American flag, drape down her figure toward the ground. As she stands still and steady, she holds her long rifle at her side. There is a slab of rock in the foreground with the phrase Live Free or Die, the state motto of New Hampshire.

Reverse

For the reverse design field of 25 New Hampshire Goldback Gold Notes, there is no separate design. Instead, what you will see is the reflected image from the obverse side. The thin layering of the gold results in the obverse design reflecting in a mirror image on the reverse. History
