{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Proof Gold Eagle Series from the United States Mint reflects decades of careful coin design and production. Introduced in 1986, the Proof Gold Eagle is struck in 22-karat gold and is known for its crisp finishes and well-defined imagery. Each coin pairs historic and modern American symbolism, featuring Augustus Saint-Gaudens Lady Liberty on the obverse and a contemporary bald eagle design on the reverse. Provident Metals currently offers the 2026-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin to collectors and investors.
Highlights:
All 2026-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins available from Provident Metals arrive in protective capsules and include a display box. Each coin is packaged with a themed outer shipper and comes with an official Certificate of Authenticity from the US Mint. To mark the nations 250th anniversary, these proofs feature a dual date of 1776-2026 and a Liberty Bell 250 privy mark.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026-W Proof American Eagle Gold Coin features Augustus Saint-Gaudens well-known Lady Liberty design, originally created in 1907. Liberty is shown moving forward, holding a torch high in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Sun rays spread across the background, with the U.S. Capitol placed near her feet and a circle of stars framing the outer edge. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, 1776-2026, the W mint mark, and the ASG signature mark.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026-W Proof Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin displays a detailed image of the American bald eagle. This design, updated in 2020 by artist Jennie Norris, presents the eagles head in left-profile relief with fine attention given to feather texture and depth. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 5 DOLLARS, and 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD.
History
First released in 1988, the 1/10 oz Proof American Gold Eagle is the smallest denomination in the series. While compact in size, it still displays the same level of detail and craftsmanship found on larger Proof Gold Eagles. Both the Liberty design and the eagle motif are clearly defined, demonstrating the precision of modern minting methods. This fractional option has become a popular choice for collectors seeking an accessible entry into the Proof Gold Eagle lineup.
