Each 2026-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin offered here has a PF70 grade. This indicates a coin with no visible flaws and full mint luster. The UCAM designation refers to the strong visual contrast between the frosted design elements and the mirrored background, creating a clear and attractive finish.

Obverse

The obverse of the 2026-W Proof American Eagle Gold Coin features the classic Liberty design from the historic $20 Double Eagle. Saint-Gaudens, a leading figure in American sculpture, designed Liberty as she moves forward confidently with a torch and olive branch. The rising sun in the background adds a sense of renewal and direction. The inscriptions here include LIBERTY, 1776-2026, and the W mint mark.

Reverse

On the reverse of the 2026-W Proof Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin is a detailed image of a bald eagle. This modern design focuses on the eagles head and upper features, showing fine feather detail and a direct expression. It replaced the earlier family-of-eagles design that had been used since 1986. Inscriptions here include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 5 DOLLAR, and 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD.

History

The Liberty design seen on this coin, created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, reflects deeper meaning beyond its appearance. It presents the United States as a nation that is always progressing forward. Liberty steps ahead with purpose, holding a torch to symbolize guidance and an olive branch to represent peace, capturing both strength and balance in the nations identity.
