{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}Barbie was developed by Ruth Handler, a co-founder of Mattel, and first introduced to the public at the American International Toy Fair in New York City on March 9, 1959. Handler was inspired by watching her daughter Barbara use paper dolls to imagine different adult careers and lifestyles. This idea led to the creation of a three-dimensional fashion doll that allowed children to explore future possibilities through play. Decades later, Barbie remains one of the most recognizable toy brands in the world. PAMP Suisse now honors this famous brand with a uniquely shaped gold coin. Right now, 2026 Solomon Islands Barbie Shaped 5 Gram Gold Coins are available from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2026 Solomon Islands Barbie Shaped 5 Gram Gold Coin arrives sealed inside an official CertiPAMP assay card. The card features colorful Barbie-themed artwork and branding on the front, while the back of the card displays the authentication details for the coin. Every piece includes an individual serial number and features proof-like finishes with frosted elements set against reflective, mirror-like backgrounds.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Solomon Islands Barbie Shaped Gold Coin includes an effigy of King Charles III. The King appears in the upper-right portion of the design in left-profile relief and is depicted without a crown. The surrounding field incorporates the Barbie logo and additional inscriptions identifying the coins issuing nation and specifications. Inscriptions include BARBIE, 5G, FINE GOLD, 999.9, and the serial number.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2026 Barbie Shaped 5 Gram Gold Coins, the design showcases the well-known Barbie brand logo. This flowing script logo has been closely associated with the Barbie brand since the dolls introduction in 1959. While the lettering style has seen slight adjustments over the years, the overall look has remained familiar to generations of fans. Inscriptions read only BARBIE in the iconic brand script.
History
For more than six decades, Barbie has remained a major figure in the toy industry and pop culture. The character has appeared in a wide range of professions and storylines while also representing many cultures and backgrounds. These changes have helped Barbie remain relevant to collectors and fans around the world.
