Obverse
The obverse design of the 2026 Proof Royal Australian Mint Koala Silver Coin presents a left-facing effigy of King Charles III. Created by designer Dan Thorne, this portrait represents one of the earliest official depictions of the monarch used on Australian currency. The design shows His Majesty without a crown, reflecting a clean and contemporary approach. The inscriptions include CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 2026, and 5 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 Proof RAM Koala 1 oz Silver Coin depicts a family of koalas resting in the branches of a gum tree. While koalas are often viewed as gentle and social animals, they generally lead solitary lives. Mothers raise their joeys independently, with young koalas spending their early months in the pouch before riding on their mothers back as they learn to climb and adapt to feeding on eucalyptus leaves. Their population range stretches from northern Queensland through New South Wales and Victoria, with smaller groups located in South Australia. Because koalas depend on select eucalyptus species for food, their survival is closely tied to the availability of suitable forest environments with connected tree coverage.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
