{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}Father Frost, called Ded Moroz in Russian, is a legendary figure in Slavic stories who brings gifts during the winter season in Russia, Ukraine, and other Eastern European countries. Unlike the cheerful Santa Claus of the West, Father Frost is usually shown as a tall, serious figure with a long white beard, wearing a robe, and holding a staff that can freeze anything it touches. You can now find the 2026 Proof Colorized Solomon Islands Father Frost 1 oz Silver Coin at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2026 Proof Colorized Solomon Islands Father Frost 1 oz Silver Coin is presented in a decorated, egg-shaped Father Frost box with a Certificate of Authenticity. Proof visuals are paired with selective colorization on the reverse for a detailed finish.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Proof Colorized Solomon Islands Father Frost Silver Coin shows the effigy of King Charles III. His left-profile portrait appears without a crown, surrounded by the coins inscriptions. Each coin also includes a unique serial number engraved on the rim. The inscriptions here include CHARLES III, SOLOMON ISLANDS, $5, and 1 OZ AG 999.
Reverse
On the reverse, the 2026 Proof Colorized Father Frost 1 oz Silver Coin shows Father Frost riding through a snowy setting in a sleigh pulled by white horses. His flowing blue robes, golden-maned horses, and the staff in his hand are highlighted with selective colorization to enhance the wintry scene. Inscriptions here include FATHER FROST and 2026.
History
Father Frosts origins stretch back before Christianity, when he appeared in myths as a winter spirit or demon. Over time, he became a gift-giving figure instead of a fearful one. During the Soviet period, he was promoted as a secular character who handed out gifts on New Years Eve rather than Christmas. Today, he continues to be a well-known part of winter traditions in the region.
