History

The Day and Night set is one of the more talked-about specialty versions of the Chinese Silver Panda series. Each year, Emporium Hamburg applies detailed colorization to the annual Panda design, creating two separate looks using the same panda scene. One coin shows the pandas in a daytime setting, featuring brighter sky tones and a yellow sun in the background. The matching coin presents a nighttime scene, with deeper shades of black and purple in the sky and a softly colored moon replacing the sun, giving the pair a nice contrast when displayed together.
