{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Royal Canadian Mint introduces new reverse privy marks with the 2026 Treasured Maple Leaf Series. These coins stay true to the familiar Canadian Maple Leaf style, showcasing King Charles III on the obverse and the sugar maple leaf on the reverse. Treasured Maple Leaf issues are set apart by their special privy marks and the low mintages tied to each release. Right now, 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Wolf Privy 1 oz Silver Coins are available from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Wolf Privy 1 oz Silver Coin is delivered in a sealed assay card from the Royal Canadian Mint. The card includes Treasured Maple Leaf-themed artwork and is designed to keep the coin protected while on display or in storage. Youll also find a QR code on the card that leads to a website with more background on the Treasured Maple Leaf collection and other bullion coin details.
Obverse
The obverse of 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Wolf Privy Silver Coins features the first-generation effigy of King Charles III. This portrait was created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, making it only the second Canadian-designed monarch portrait to appear on the nations coinage. The design presents His Majesty in left-profile relief and notably without a crown. Inscriptions include CHARLES III, 5 DOLLARS, and 2026.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 Treasured Maple Leaf Wolf Privy 1 oz Silver Coins displays the classic sugar maple leaf. First introduced in 1979 for the Canadian Maple Leaf bullion series, Walter Otts design shows a realistic maple leaf with crisp lines and natural texture. The Wolf Privy mark is placed to the left of the leafs stem as a small but clear added detail. Inscriptions read CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER, and 1 OZ ARGENT PUR.
History
Gray wolves are believed to have started in Eurasia long ago, before reaching North America by way of the Bering land bridge during the Pleistocene epoch. Studies often place this movement between about 300,000 and 750,000 years ago. With plentiful prey and a wide range of environments, wolves spread across the continent and formed distinct groups suited to different regions. Over time, they became dominant predators found in habitats from Arctic areas to the highlands of Mexico.
