The 2026 Treasured Maple Leaf Series from the Royal Canadian Mint brings collectors another year of Maple Leaf bullion with added character through newly released reverse privy marks. These coins keep the established Canadian Maple Leaf look, featuring a portrait of King Charles III on the obverse and the sugar maple leaf on the reverse. Each Treasured Maple Leaf issue is defined by its individual privy mark along with the very limited production tied to that design. Today, 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Wolf Privy 1/10 oz Gold Coins are available at Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Comes with a sealed Royal Canadian Mint assay!
  • Includes a Treasured Maple Leaf card design!
  • Features a Wolf Privy!
  • Limited mintage of only 5,000 coins!
  • Contains 1/10 troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • The face value of $5 (CAD) is backed by the Canadian government.
  • His Majesty King Charles III on the obverse.

All 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Wolf Privy 1/10 oz Gold Coins come sealed in official assay card packaging from the Royal Canadian Mint. Along with protecting the coin, the card includes a Treasured Maple Leaf-themed design and a QR code. That code links to extra background information online, offering more insight into bullion coin programs and this special Maple Leaf series.

Obverse

On the obverse of the 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Wolf Privy Gold Coins is the first-generation likeness of King Charles III. This portrait was designed by Steven Rosati, making it only the second time in Canadian coin history that a Canadian artist created a monarch effigy. The king is shown facing left without a crown, matching the mints modern presentation style. The inscriptions here read CHARLES III, 5 DOLLARS, and 2026.

Reverse

The reverse of the 2026 Treasured Maple Leaf Wolf Privy 1/10 oz Gold Coins carries the traditional sugar maple leaf design that has defined the series since 1979. Created by Walter Ott, the leaf is rendered with clean texturing and fine detail across its surface. A small Wolf Privy mark sits to the left of the stem, adding the series-specific feature without distracting from the central image. Inscriptions here read CANADA, 9999, FINE GOLD, and 1/10 OZ OR PUR.

History

In Canada, gray wolves are a key part of the natural world, especially in remote wilderness regions. By hunting larger herbivores such as deer, moose, elk, and caribou, wolves help prevent overgrazing and support healthier habitats for many other species. While wolf populations in the United States were once drastically reduced in many areas, Canada has maintained a broad and continuous wolf territory. Current estimates suggest there are approximately 50,000 to 60,000 gray wolves living across the country today.
