{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Royal Canadian Mint continues its Treasured Maple Leaf Series in 2026 with a fresh set of reverse privy marks. These coins stay true to the classic Canadian Maple Leaf look, featuring King Charles III on the obverse and the well-known sugar maple leaf on the reverse. Treasured Maple Leaf issues are especially popular for their themed privy symbols and their tight mintages. Today, 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Lunar Horse Privy 1 oz Silver Coins are available online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Lunar Horse Privy 1 oz Silver Coin comes sealed in a Royal Canadian Mint assay card. The card carries a special Treasured Maple Leaf theme and includes a QR code that leads to helpful information about bullion coinage and the series itself.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Canadian Treasured Maple Leaf Lunar Horse Privy Silver Coin presents the first-generation effigy of King Charles III. The portrait comes from Canadian artist Steven Rosati and stands out as just the second Canadian-designed monarch image in the nations coinage history. Shown in left profile, the King appears without a crown, giving the design a straightforward, dignified feel. The inscriptions include CHARLES III, 5 DOLLARS, and 2026.
Reverse
The reverse of 2026 Treasured Maple Leaf Lunar Horse Privy 1 oz Silver Coins displays the familiar sugar maple leaf created by Walter Ott in 1979. This long-running design is known for its natural look and careful detailing, from the central veins to the sharp outer edges of the leaf. Positioned to the left of the stem is a small Lunar Horse privy mark that ties the coin to the zodiac theme. The inscriptions read CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER, and 1 OZ ARGENT PUR.
History
The Fire Horse of 2026 is part of the 60-year cycle in the Chinese Zodiac. Fire Horse imagery is often lively and movement-focused, sometimes using flame motifs or warm tones to represent drive, energy, and boldness. Artistic versions typically show the horse mid-stride or in a spirited pose.
