{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf is among the most trusted bullion coins in the world. First introduced in 1979, it has maintained a steady reputation alongside the South African Krugerrand. What started as a single-weight release has grown into a full series of six weights issued each year. Of those, the 1 oz coin continues to be the most sought-after. Today, 2026 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coins are available from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2026 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coin is offered here in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Coins are available individually in flips, in tubes of 10, or in Monster Boxes of 500 coins with 50 tubes inside. A laser-engraved maple leaf privy mark is present on the reverse of every coin.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026 Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coin, you will find the debut Canadian coinage effigy of King Charles III. This left-profile image depicts His Majesty without a crown and was created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati. It marks only the third time a Canadian artist has designed a monarchs portrait for Canadian coinage. The inscriptions here read CHARLES III, 50 DOLLARS, and 2026.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coin displays Walter Otts detailed sugar maple leaf. This design, introduced with the series in 1979, has since become a symbol across Canadas Maple Leaf bullion lineup, including silver, platinum, and palladium issues. Inscriptions here read CANADA, 9999, FINE GOLD, 1 OZ, and OR PUR.
History
Sugar maples are native to a more limited range in North America than many other tree species. Their natural growth is centered in New England, the Great Lakes area, and the Maritime Provinces of Canada, with populations reaching south along the Appalachian Mountains. These trees thrive in well-drained, slightly acidic soils and require cold winters paired with moderate summers.
