{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Perth Mint has been producing gold and silver bullion products since 1899 and is located in Western Australia. As one of the longest-running mints in the world, it has earned a strong reputation for consistent quality and trusted precious metal content. Along with its well-known annual bullion releases and collectible coins, the Perth Mint also creates smaller themed collections and limited-issue programs. These special releases still reflect the same purity standards and detailed craftsmanship found throughout the mints product lineup. Right now, 2026 Australian Wonders of Australia The Outback 1 oz Gold Coins are available from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2026 Australian Wonders of Australia The Outback 1 oz Gold Coin is offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins ship in protective plastic capsules, while bulk purchases are often packaged in rolls of 20 coins or boxes of 100. Boxes contain 5 tubes total. These coins also include a micro-engraved letter on the reverse, providing an added security feature designed to help protect against counterfeiting.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Australian Wonders of Australia The Outback Gold Coin features the first-generation portrait of King Charles III used on Australian coinage. This effigy was created by Dan Thorne and was introduced in 2024. It shows His Majesty in left-profile relief without a crown, following the traditional approach used for modern portraits of British monarchs on circulating and bullion coinage. The inscriptions here read CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 1 OZ 9999 AU, and 100 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 Wonders of Australia The Outback 1 oz Gold Coin showcases a design that highlights the rugged landscapes and wildlife of Australias interior. The Outback refers to the large, remote portion of the continent that stretches across several states and territories. It is often associated with red deserts, scrubland, and ancient natural formations. While the Outback accounts for roughly 70% of Australias landmass, fewer than 3% of Australians live there, showing just how large and sparsely populated the region truly is. Inscriptions here read 2026 and the P mint mark.
History
The Outback is one of the most recognizable regions in Australia, known for its open spaces and harsh environment. Despite the dry climate and rugged landscape, it supports a wide range of wildlife, including kangaroos, dingoes, emus, bilbies, and many species of reptiles and birds. The Outback also has deep cultural importance, as it has been home to numerous Aboriginal groups for thousands of years. Their languages, traditions, and connection to the land remain a key part of the regions identity.
