In the Chinese Zodiac, the horse holds the seventh spot in the 12-year rotation. The 2026 coin marks the Year of the Fire Horse, which is one of the five elemental cycles represented in the series. Each 2026 Australian Lunar Horse 1 Kilo Silver Coin is protected in a capsule and offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. A micro-engraved element on the reverse serves as a security feature and can be seen only under magnification.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026 Australian Lunar Horse Silver Coin, the design shows King Charles III in left-profile relief without a crown. This portrait was created by Dan Thorne and is the first to feature the King on Australian coins. Inscriptions include CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 1 KILO 9999 AG, and 30 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse design of 2026 Lunar Horse 1 Kilo Silver Coins presents a mare and foal in motion across grassy terrain with a mountain backdrop. Artist Ing Ing Jong, who has contributed lunar coin artwork for The Perth Mint since 2013, created this scene. Inscriptions read HORSE, 2026, the P mint mark, and the Chinese emblem for the Horse.
History
The horse in Chinese culture represents vigor, freedom, and persistence. The Book of Changes (I Ching) often connects the horse to the hexagram Qian, symbolizing creative energy and the unending drive toward progress.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
