Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Australian Lunar Horse Gold Coin displays a portrait of King Charles III. Designed by Dan Thorne in 2024, this effigy marks the first appearance of Charles III on Australian coins. The left-facing profile shows the monarch without a crown, offering a clean and contemporary look. The inscriptions include CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, and 2 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2026 Lunar Horse 1/2 Gram Gold Coin features a horse shown rearing on its hind legs. Rendered in left-profile relief, the horse stands against a background of distant mountains. In Chinese astrology, the Horse is often linked to enthusiasm, independence, and an active lifestyle. Those born in Horse years are commonly thought to be energetic and self-driven. The inscriptions read 0.5 G, 9999 GOLD, HORSE, 2026, and the Chinese emblem for the horse.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days.
