Reverse

History

In Genesis 6:1416, specific directions are given for the construction of the Ark. The vessel was to measure 300 cubits in length, 50 cubits in width, and 30 cubits in height. These dimensions are often translated to approximately 134 by 22 by 13 meters, or 440 by 72 by 43 feet. Noah was instructed to build it from gopherwood, include interior rooms, construct three levels, and coat it inside and out with pitch. These details show that the Ark was designed as a sturdy structure meant to endure severe conditions.
