Obverse
The obverse of the 2025-W Proof American 25th Anniversary Sacagawea Golden Dollar Gold Coin features Sacagawea in profile with her infant son, Jean Baptiste, on her back. Her likeness is inspired by Shoshone descriptions of her dark, striking eyes. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, and the W mint mark.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025-W Proof 25th Anniversary Sacagawea Golden Dollar 1/2 oz Gold Coin, a bald eagle soars across the design, framed by seventeen stars. These stars stand for the seventeen states in the Union during the Lewis and Clark expedition in 1804. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
Sacagaweas role in the Lewis and Clark expedition was vital to its success. She provided guidance across the western lands gained in the Louisiana Purchase, helped establish communication with Native tribes, and supported the group in gathering food and navigating rough terrain. Her presence also symbolized peaceful intent, building trust with those encountered along the journey.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
