Previously, the series was only available as a 1 oz gold coin from 1967 to 1979. The 1980 expansion added the 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins. These 2025 South African Krugerrand 1/10 oz Gold Coins are available for purchase either individually in protective flips or in bulk with tubes of 50 coins. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. With a composition of 91.67% gold and 8.33% copper, these coins maintain their value both as a collectible and as an investment.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 South African Krugerrand Gold Coin features a left-profile portrait of Paul Kruger. Known affectionately as Oom Paul, Kruger was a respected and beloved leader. His image on the coin reflects his leadership during a pivotal time in South African history. The inscriptions include SUID-AFRIKA and SOUTH AFRICA.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025 Krugerrand 1/10 oz Gold Coin is the iconic Springbok antelope, mid-pronk, bounding across the African landscape. First introduced in 1967, this design has become synonymous with the Krugerrand series. The Springbok represents South Africas rich wildlife and cultural heritage. Inscriptions here include 1/10 KRUGERRAND, 2025, and FYNGOUD 1/10 OZ FINE GOLD.
