{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The origins of the United States Navy go back to October 13, 1775, when the Continental Congress voted to form a naval force during the Revolutionary War. Made mostly from converted merchant ships, the early Continental Navy worked to block British supply lines and protect the coastline. In recognition of the Navys 250th anniversary in October 2025, the United States Mint has issued a Proof Silver Eagle featuring a US Navy privy mark. Now, 2025-S Proof Navy Privy American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins in certified condition are available online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2025-S Proof Navy Privy American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin is certified PF70, showing perfect strike quality and original mint luster. UCAM proof coins offer sharp, frosted details against mirror-like fields. First Day of Issue coins are those submitted for grading within 24 hours of their release.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025-S Proof Navy Privy American Eagle Silver Coin displays Adolph A. Weinmans classic Walking Liberty alongside the Navy privy mark. Liberty steps forward with the U.S. flag flowing behind her. The privy mark includes a bald eagle holding an anchor as it faces forward. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, the AW signature mark, and US NAVY in the privy mark.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025-S Proof Navy Privy Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin shows Emily Damstras 2020 design of a bald eagle in flight. The eagles wings stretch wide as it carries an oak branch in its talons, symbolizing strength and readiness. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, 1 OZ FINE SILVER, and the S mint mark.
History
After the attacks of September 11, 2001, the Navy supported counter-terrorism missions, launching Tomahawk missile strikes in Afghanistan and providing air support from carriers. Aircraft carriers operated as mobile runways for missions in both Afghanistan and Iraq, while Navy SEALs performed key special operations, including the 2011 mission that eliminated Osama bin Laden. The Navy also increased maritime security to stop piracy near Somalia, intercept weapons shipments, and uphold a presence in vital regions to maintain global stability.
