The obverse of the 2025 Reverse Proof Mexican Libertad Silver Coin features Mexicos coat of arms. At the center is the national seal: a golden eagle battling a serpent atop a prickly pear cactus. Around it are 10 historic versions of the same emblem. The inscriptions here read ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025 Reverse Proof Libertad 5 oz Silver Coin, youll find the classic Winged Victory. She stands atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column as seen in Mexico Citys center, with the volcanic peaks of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl in the background. Inscriptions here read 5 ONZAS, PLATA PURA, 2025, LEY .999, and the OM mint mark.
History
The 2025 5 oz Reverse Proof Silver Libertad sets a record-low mintage for this coin. The previous low was 1,000 coins, reached four years straight from 2019 to 2022. These reverse proof coins have frosted backgrounds with mirrored design elements on both sides.
