Obverse
The obverse design found on all 2025 Proof Mexican Libertads shows the Mexican national coat of arms. This emblem depicts a golden eagle locked in battle with a snake, standing on a prickly pear cactus. The 1 oz coin also features an outer ring that displays 10 earlier versions of the seal, celebrating the nation’s history.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025 Proof Mexican Libertad Silver Coins, youll find the image of Winged Victory. Based on the statue atop the Independence Victory Column in Mexico City, this figure holds a laurel wreath and broken chains. In the background, the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl rise up behind her.
History
The Proof Silver Libertad was first introduced in 1983 by the Mexican Mint. Though the coin made its debut in the early 1980s, it became a regular release starting in 1986, initially offered only as a 1 oz coin. The collection expanded in 1992 to include fractional weights, followed by the addition of 2 oz and 5 oz coins in 1996.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
