Each of these 2025 Proof Mexican Libertad 1/20 oz Silver Coins comes in a clear capsule to help protect its proof visuals. Proof coins are known for their sharp contrast, created by frosted images set against mirrored fields. The 1/20 oz version is the smallest coin in the Proof Libertad Series and has been released annually since 1992, with the exception of 2012.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025 Proof Mexican Libertad Silver Coin, the Mexican coat of arms is front and center. It features the countrys national symbolan eagle clutching a snake while standing on a prickly pear cactus. Larger versions of the coin have additional historic emblems encircling this central image, though the 1/20 oz coin focuses solely on the modern version. The inscriptions here include ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.
Reverse
The reverse of each 2025 Proof Libertad 1/20 oz Silver Coin features the well-known statue of Winged Victory. This statue stands atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City, with the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl seen in the distance. Inscriptions here include 1/20 ONZA, PLATA PURA, 2025 LEY .999, and the Mo mint mark.
History
The modern Mexican coat of arms brings together centuries of heritage. It includes a golden eagle holding a rattlesnake in its beak and talon, standing on a cactus. This eagle is depicted without a crown, a nod to Mexicos republican form of government. The oak and laurel branches underneath represent strength and victory.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
