Provident Metals is offering these 2025 Proof Mexican Libertad 1/10 oz Silver Coins in individual capsules. Proof coins feature a frosted finish on the main design and mirror-like background surfaces. This fractional coin has been produced most years since 1992, with the exception of 2012.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Proof Mexican Libertad Silver Coin displays the modern version of Mexicos national coat of arms. The artwork shows a golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus while grappling with a snake. While larger coins in the series include a ring of historical emblems around the main design, this 1/10 oz coin features only the current seal. The inscriptions include ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2025 Proof Libertad 1/10 oz Silver Coins, youll see the Winged Victory statue, a symbol of Mexican independence. She stands atop the iconic Victory Column in Mexico City. Behind her, you can spot the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes, which are well-known landmarks in Mexico. The inscriptions read 1/10 ONZA, PLATA PURA, 2025 LEY .999, and the Mo mint mark.
History
This version of the national seal was officially adopted in 1968 and has roots in Aztec culture. It combines the traditional elements of the original symbol with a more modern artistic approach, representing both heritage and identity.
