Sakura originally served as natural indicators for the start of the rice planting season, but their meaning shifted over time. The flowers short blooming period led them to symbolize lifes passing naturean idea captured in the Japanese term mono no aware, or the pathos of things. This symbolism became especially meaningful during the era of the samurai, who viewed cherry blossoms as a reflection of their own brief and honorable lives.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
