{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}New Zealand Mint adds another entry to its officially licensed Winnie the Pooh collection with a coin that highlights the heart of the series: the bond between Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin. Pooh first appeared in A.A. Milnes stories in the 1920s, inspired by Milnes young son, Christopher Robin Milne, and his well-loved stuffed bear. Right now, 2025 Proof Colorized Niue Disney Winnie the Pooh A Smackerel of Hunny 1 oz Silver Coins are available from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2025 Proof Colorized Niue Disney Winnie the Pooh A Smackerel of Hunny 1 oz Silver Coin is housed in a presentation booklet designed with Winnie the Pooh artwork and a viewing window to display the coin. A Certificate of Authenticity comes with every piece. The coin is shaped to match the outline of Pooh and Christopher Robin together, and the reverse design is enhanced with colorization for a bright, storybook look.
Obverse
The obverse of 2025 Proof Colorized Niue Disney Winnie the Pooh A Smackerel of Hunny Silver Coins features the Public Seal of Niue. Around the seal are a honey pot and delicate wildflowers, adding to the warm theme of the series. This side also includes the coins inscriptions and other identifying marks. The inscriptions include 1 OZ 999 PURE SILVER and the Disney copyright.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2025 Proof Colorized Winnie the Pooh A Smackerel of Hunny 1 oz Silver Coins, Christopher Robin sits reading a book while Pooh rests nearby holding his honey pot. Christopher Robin serves as the human center of the stories, showing the balance between everyday life and childhood imagination. Their shared moments have long stood for loyalty, comfort, and the lasting memories of youth.
History
Milnes original books followed the kind, thoughtful bear on simple adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood, often alongside Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, and the rest of the group. The stories are still loved for their gentle humor and honest look at friendship and growing up. The real Christopher Robin Milne later spoke about the complicated feelings he had toward being connected so closely to the character that carried his name.
