{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The revived Peace Silver Dollar remains a popular choice among collectors and silver buyers who value its connection to the hopeful years following World War I and its lasting impact on American coinage. Similar to the Morgan Dollar, the modern Peace Dollar is struck in .859 troy ounce of 99.9% fine silver, combining precious metal content with a historic US design. Today, 2025 Peace Dollar Silver Coins are available from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
All 2025 Peace Dollar Silver Coins in this listing are packaged in individual flips. Orders may include BU, proof, or certified examples, depending on available inventory. Specific types and conditions are not guaranteed, as coins are selected at random after payment is processed. Some coins may appear in new condition, while others may show light signs of handling. Certified pieces may arrive in third-party grading holders.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Peace Dollar Coin displays Anthony de Franciscis portrait of Liberty facing forward. Her design features a radiant crown inspired by the Statue of Liberty, reflecting themes of freedom and progress. When first introduced, this artwork stood out for its modern appearance compared to earlier US coin portraits. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and 2025.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Peace Dollar Silver Coin features an American bald eagle resting on a rocky surface with an olive branch in its talons. The absence of arrows highlights the coins message of peace. A rising sun appears in the background, and the word PEACE is engraved below, underscoring the meaning behind the original design. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE.
History
The US Mint first introduced the Peace Silver Dollar in December 1921. Production of silver dollars resumed that year with the Morgan Dollar before moving to the new Peace design. These coins marked the first newly struck silver dollars since the final Morgan Dollars of 1904. In time, the Peace Dollar became the last silver dollar issued for circulation in the United States.
