{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}In 2021, the United States Mint reintroduced two historic silver dollar designs cherished by collectors for generations. The Morgan Dollar and Peace Dollar returned that year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Morgan Dollars last year of circulation and the Peace Dollars first release. Since then, the Mint has continued offering these classic coins in modern bullion editions. You can now find 2025 Peace Dollar Silver Coins in certified condition available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
All of the 2025 Peace Dollar Silver Coins available here are certified as Mint State 69. This grade means the coins are in near-perfect condition, showing full original luster and just one or two very small flaws. These flaws are typically hard-to-spot contact marks or hairlines and are not found in the main design areas. Early Release coins are those sent in for grading within 30 days of their official release date.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Peace Dollar displays a left-facing image of Liberty. She is shown with her hair pulled back into a bun, while a few loose strands gently brush her face. A radiant crown sits atop her head, adding to the peaceful look. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and 2025.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Peace Dollar Silver Coin shows an American bald eagle perched on a rock. The birds wings are folded, and it looks out over the landscape. Behind it, the rising sun casts rays across the background, adding depth to the design. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE.
History
The Pittman Act, passed in 1918, allowed the melting of up to 350 million silver dollars to support Great Britains wartime silver needs. This led to a major decline in silver dollar supply in the United States. The law also required the government to replenish that supply by buying American silver and striking new silver dollars, resulting in the Peace Dollars creation in 1921.
