{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}In 2021, the United States Mint revived two famous silver dollar designs with modern updates for today’s collectors. That year marked 100 years since the Morgan Silver Dollar ended and the Peace Silver Dollar beganboth originally minted in 1921. Since then, the US Mint has kept producing these classic coins with updated techniques while staying true to the original designs. Provident Metals now offers 2025 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins that have been certified for quality.
Highlights:
All 2025 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins available here are certified as Mint State 69 and come in clear plastic holders. This grade means the coin is nearly flawless, showing full mint shine and no more than two very small marks or lines that do not affect the main design areas. Early Release coins were submitted to the grading service within 30 days of their official release by the Mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Morgan Dollar Coin features Liberty in left-profile, a design created by Morgan himself. Liberty is shown with flowing hair beneath a Phrygian cap and is crowned with a wreath and coronet. Thirteen stars border the image, symbolizing the original states. The inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM, LIBERTY, and 2025.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin is the famous heraldic eagle. The eagle faces forward with its wings fully spread. One talon holds arrows and the other holds an olive branch, reflecting the United States readiness for both peace and defense. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
George T. Morgan joined the US Mint in 1876 as an assistant engraver during a period when the Mint was seeking fresh artistic talent. Originally from Birmingham, England, Morgan had a background in medal design and engraving. After moving to the United States at 30, he quickly became known for his skill in designing detailed and lasting coin images.
