Each 2025 Mexican Libertad 5 oz Silver Coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and packaged in a plastic bag. For 2025, the Mexican Mint has made major reductions to the mintage of Mexican Silver Libertads and has not released any 2025 Mexican Gold Libertads. All BU Silver Libertads now feature historically low mintages, a factor expected to influence the rarity of this years coins moving forward.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025 Mexican Libertad Silver Coin, youll see Mexicos national coat of arms. The main image features a golden eagle holding a snake in its beak and talon, standing atop a cactus. Larger silver coins, including this 5 oz version, also show ten past versions of the coat of arms in a ring around the central design. The inscriptions include ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.
Reverse
The reverse of each 2025 Libertad 5 oz Silver Coin features Winged Victory. This artwork was first used on Silver Libertads in 1996 and shows a side profile of Victory standing on top of the Independence Victory Column located in Mexico City. Inscriptions here include 5 ONZAS, PLATA PURA, 2025 LEY .999, and the Mo mint mark.
History
Winged Victorys image draws from classical mythology, specifically Nike from Greek culture and Victoria from Roman history. Mexican artists reshaped this figure to reflect Mexicos own culture and history. With wide-spread wings and extended arms, the figure represents resilience and national pride.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
