First released in the 1980s, the series includes both gold and silver coins with artwork based on the historic 1921 Gold Centenario. For 2025, the mint scaled back production of its Silver Libertads and did not produce any Gold Libertads. This has resulted in some of the lowest mintages in the programs history, which may affect availability over time. All 2025 Mexican Libertad 1/4 oz Silver Coins offered here are in perfect condition. A Mint State 70 grade indicates a coin with full original luster and no visible imperfections. With a total mintage of only 100 coins, this release is among the most limited in the series.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025 Mexican Libertad Silver Coins is the Mexican coat of arms. This design features a golden eagle perched on a cactus while holding a serpent in its beak and claws. The inscriptions here read ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Libertad 1/4 oz Silver Coin features Winged Victory. This modern depiction, first introduced in 1996, shows a three-quarter view of the statue standing atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City. Inscriptions here read 1/4 ONZA, PLATA PURA, 2025 LEY .999, and the Mo mint mark.
History
Mexicos coat of arms has been refined over the years while maintaining its central imagery. The modern version, officially adopted in 1968, shows a golden eagle in profile with wings partly raised. The eagle grips a rattlesnake with its beak and talons while perched on a prickly pear cactus growing from a rocky base surrounded by water.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
