Obverse
On the obverse of 2025 Colorized Tuvalu TMNT Pizza Silver Coins, youll see King Charles III. His portrait, created by Jody Clark, shows the King in left-profile relief without a crown. This image is part of the first group of official effigies of the new monarch used on coins from Tuvalu. Inscriptions here include KING CHARLES III, TUVALU, 2 OZ 9999 AG, 2025, and 2 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Colorized TMNT Pizza 2 oz Silver Coin displays a pepperoni pizza with all four Turtles featured in different sections of the pie. The colorful design reflects their animated style and the strong connection between the heroes and their favorite food. Michelangelos wild pizza toppings and the groups constant pizza cravings were major parts of the shows humor.
History
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first appeared in the mid-1980s, and their pizza habit quickly became a defining feature. Originally meant to make the characters more relatable, it soon became part of the storyline with pizza-themed jokes, unusual topping combinations, and entire scenes revolving around getting a slice.
