{{/presale}}The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf is one of the most famous bullion coins in the world, introduced in 1979. This coin series predates other well-known bullion programs like the Chinese Panda, American Eagle, Australian Kangaroo, and British Britannia. Only the South African Krugerrand has a longer history. Right now, 2025 Canadian Maple Leaf 1/2 oz Gold Coins are available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2025 Canadian Maple Leaf 1/2 oz Gold Coin is available in individual protective flips or in sheets of 10 coins. All coins offered in this listing are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, ensuring they are in pristine shape.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coin features a portrait of King Charles III. This marks the second year His Majesty has been featured on the Canadian Maple Leaf coins, following the transition from Queen Elizabeth II in 2024. The left-profile bust of King Charles III was crafted by designer Steven Rosati. Inscriptions on this side include CHARLES III, 20 DOLLARS, and 2025.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2025 Maple Leaf 1/2 oz Gold Coin, you’ll find the classic sugar maple leaf design. This design has been a constant feature of the Canadian Maple Leaf Series since its introduction in 1979 and was created by Walter Ott. The inscriptions on this side include CANADA, 9999, FINE GOLD, and 1/2 OZ OR PUR.
History
The sugar maple tree is more than just a national symbol for Canada; it’s also an important part of the country’s economy. Canada is the leading producer of maple syrup, especially in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick. The annual maple syrup harvest is a time of celebration across the nation, with festivals and events that honor the sugar maple’s role in Canadian life.
