Right now, 2025 Australian Lunar Snake 1/10 oz Gold Coins are available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2025 Australian Lunar Snake 1/10 oz Gold Coin is shipped in a protective capsule to maintain its pristine condition. Coins purchased individually come in plastic capsules, while those ordered in multiples of 20 are sealed in rolls, with each coin individually encapsulated. The Perth Mint has set no limit on the mintage for 2025, ensuring availability until the next design is released.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Australian Lunar Snake Gold Coins showcases the first portrait of King Charles III by Dan Thorne, introduced in 2024. This left-profile portrait is a significant addition to the series, following the long-standing tradition of featuring British monarchs. Reverse
On the reverse of 2025 Lunar Snake 1/10 oz Gold Coins, the Perth Mint highlights a coiled snake in a design by Sean Rogers. The snake is shown wrapped around bamboo shoots, emphasizing its connection to nature and its cultural importance in Chinese history. Inscriptions include SNAKE, 2025, the Chinese emblem for the snake, and the P mint mark.
History
In Chinese culture, the snake has long been a powerful symbol, representing wisdom, royalty, and creativity. Throughout history, the snake has been revered in various forms, from a deity to a symbol of power. The legendary figure Fu Xi, known as the founder of Chinese civilization, was often depicted with a snakes body, underscoring the creatures significance.
