Highlights:
Each 2025 Antique Niue Miyamoto Musashi 2 oz Silver Coin in this listing is housed in a protective slab and features a Legendary Warriors label. Coins graded Mint State 70 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation are considered flawless, showing full mint luster with no visible imperfections. The antique finish gives the silver a classic appearance, while selective 24-karat gold plating highlights specific design elements. The high-relief strike creates added depth across both sides of the coin.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Antique Niue Miyamoto Musashi Silver Coin presents the Public Seal of Niue at the center, surrounded by an arrangement of traditional weapons. Niue, located in the South Pacific and in free association with New Zealand, issues legal tender commemorative coinage that is recognized around the world. Its backing gives this release official status as $5 NZD legal tender. The inscriptions here read LEGENDARY WARRIORS, 2 OZ 999, FINE SILVER, 2025, and FIVE DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Antique Miyamoto Musashi 2 oz Silver Coin shows Musashi holding two swords, representing his distinct combat style. His written work, The Book of Five Rings, continues to be studied for its insights into strategy and decision-making. Musashis life reflected musha shugy, a focused journey of self-discipline and improvement. Inscriptions here read MIYAMOTO MUSASHI.
History
Miyamoto Musashi (c. 15841645) remains one of Japans most respected swordsmen. Historical accounts credit him with more than sixty duels, beginning in his early teenage years. He developed the Niten Ichi-ry method, which emphasizes the use of two swords at the same time. Musashi also believed that swordsmanship was connected to discipline, strategy, and personal development, principles he later outlined in his writings.
