Introduced in 1986, the American Gold Eagle Series is recognized as the official gold bullion coin of the United States. The 2025 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins are currently available at Provident Metals.

The 2025 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins available here are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins come individually in plastic flips, and larger quantities are available in protective tubes of 20, or in Monster Boxes of 500 coins.

Obverse

The obverse of the 2025 American Eagle Gold Coin features the renowned image of Lady Liberty, created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. This design shows Liberty in a full-length pose with a torch and olive branch, surrounded by stars, sunrays, and the U.S. Capitol. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, 2025, and Saint-Gaudens’ signature mark.

Reverse

The reverse side of the 2025 Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin showcases a new design introduced in July 2021 by Jennie Norris. It presents the bald eagles head in left-profile relief, with detailed attention to its sharp gaze and detailed plumage. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UN8UM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 50 DOLLARS, and 1 OZ. FINE GOLD.

History

The US Mint produces two primary gold bullion coins annually. The Gold Eagle, being the older coin, is made from 22-karat gold, while the newer Gold Buffalo coin is made from 24-karat gold. Gold Eagles consist of 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver.
